David Pace

Portfolio Manager/Analyst

David has 17 years' experience in the funds management industry. As a graduate, David took up a role within the Private Business Division of KPMG, where he worked from 1990 to 1992. He then joined Potter Warburg Asset Management (which later merged with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers), initially in the role of Investment Accountant before becoming an Analyst within the Australian Equities team in 1994. In 2001, David joined the Portfolio Construction Committee, and was more recently responsible for managing over $1.3 billion in funds. David was also a member of the Asset Allocation Committee between 1997 and 1999.

David graduated from Melbourne University with a degree in Commerce and also completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.

Matthew Ryland CFA

Portfolio Manager/Analyst

Matthew has more than 13 years' experience in investment analysis and funds management. Before entering the financial services industry, Matthew worked as a Commodity Buyer in the World Wide Purchasing Division of General Motors. In 1997 Matthew took on the role of Head of Research at Taylor Collison Stockbroking, based in Adelaide. Matthew was a highly rated sell-side analyst in both the small caps sector as well as the healthcare sector. He then moved to Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Initially in the role of a fund manager, he then took on the responsibility of Director and Senior Portfolio Manager in 2003, responsible for managing over $100m in funds.

Matthew has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics and an Honours degree in Engineering from the University of Adelaide. He is also a chartered financial analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

Marc Hester CFA, CA

Analyst

Marc has five years' accounting experience and four years' in funds management. In 2000 Marc began working for Pricewaterhouse Coopers, in their Middle Market division, conducting audits for medium-sized companies. He then progressed into a role in Business Recovery Services where he was later promoted to Manager. In 2005 Marc joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as an Equities Analyst.

Marc graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1999 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is also a CFA charter holder and Chartered Accountant.

David Tonkin CA

Analyst

David has over nine years working in financial markets. Before joining Greencape, David was an Analyst with Canterbury Partners providing strategic and financial advice in mergers and acquisitions, divestments, restructurings and capital management. Prior to this, he spent four years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in both the Assurance and Transaction Services divisions.
David has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Accountant.
